Did you draw up your Internet Marketing plan yesterday?

Can you skip Internet Marketing? I say "No way." Do you?

You have to be a marketer first, if you plan on running an Internet business or home business. Even the world's most exciting product will have close to zero sales if 99% of the population never heard of it.

To get website traffic, Internet marketing is crucial. You need some kind of market to pitch your offers to. Without Internet marketing, it is next to impossible to survive in the highly competitive Internet business arena.

For the past few months I've seen an avalanche of email offers on what seems to be very innovative Internet marketing th techniques. And let me honestly tell you, I'm getting really jaded from reading about the same old 'never released before closely guarded secrets' on yet another incomparable internet marketing business. Another from hundreds, perhaps thousands, that is going to 'take the world by storm'. Talk about over-worn cliches and big yawns.

A quick analysis of Internet Marketing.

A lot of marketers try to sell you the business plan for the latest hot item (or sometimes not so 'latest' or 'hot'), while they go on to the next miracle product which they package with their 'never-revealed-before secrets' that will cause an avalanche of money to roll into your bank account...all without your doing any Internet marketing.

It's playing on your emotions. And emotions are powerful and can get us into all sorts of undesirable situations.

Internet marketing strategies in sales copies are written up for one primary purpose - to incite your feelings and numb your intellect. To get you to say, :yes. Yes." Since the mind thinks in pictures, the copies spur you to fire your boss, holiday in the Caribbean, own flashy cars and ostentatious homes, work only 30 minutes then luxuriate in indolence; or simply enjoy the absolute euphoria of all play and no work.

All this is true. It can be achieved, provided you know the right methods, are dedicated, have a well-thought-out Internet marketing plan, and persevere until you make it. The formula is simple: Product or service + internet marketing plan + dedication & perseverence + time. Remove any one if the parts and the whole crumbles.

So, what's pure crap and camel turd is that you can achieve tens of thousands of dollars in a week or 30 days. Not possible, no. Definitely not without concentrated internet marketing plans and strategies. The only way this happens is if you strike the state lotto - not through an internet business.

But your visions of "instant internet riches" and fantasies of becoming "a millionaire overnight," have been given a patina of reality. And, oh glorious day! To get all this without really having to engage the brain or tax any muscle; or, worse yet, device internet marketing methods.

Take a deep breath. It's a mirage, a rainbow with no pot of gold at the end or anywhere near. An internet business guru is not some genie who will put you on easy street instantly, wave a magic wand and create internet marketing campaigns for you out of thin air, and bring you your slippers while you loll about doing nothing.

The 'closely guarded secrets' of instant wealth turn out to be either new or re-packaged Internet marketing strategies that require a lot more time and effort to implement than you were told. The word 'instant' is deliberately packaged to conjure an image of ease. We do live in an 'instant' society.: from instant communication to coffee and noodles. "Get it now. No need to wait. No need to do anything."

Wow! A fairy god mother. And you thought fairy tales were fairy tales.

But hang on there. With the right internet marketing method and effort, you will most certainly see profits if you work the business right and long enough. The millions may or may not invade your bank account within a year, but you can certainly try.

In a business possibility you're only getting opportunities, not something delivered on a silver platter. What you're really getting are the strong possibilities to make money, not a guaranteed commitment, so take time to properly evaluate the true value of the offer. Read the disclaimers [the footnote of all spectacular offers usually in small unobtrusive print] and see if you find any 'guarantee there. There isn't, though the sales copy itself may promise you King Creole's wealth.

Is there a formula for success?

Yes, there is. But you need to know it, study it, analyze it and implement it to suit your special circumstances. Knowledge is power. And, as Peter Drucker aptly said, "the problem isn't so much as knowing how to do things right, but in knowing the right thing to do."

"Successful people are guided by their focus, not by their feelings."

5 Easy Steps for Developing Your Medical Marketing Plan

If you want to establish a strong referral base increase the number of patients you receive in your practice and build a positive reputation for yourself in the local community you must have a solid medical marketing plan. Carrying out medical marketing activities without a plan will lead you to walk in circles without arriving anywhere at all.
Build a medical marketing plan so you have a course of action to follow and objectives to meet. Contrary to popular belief developing a marketing plan for your practice does not have to be a long and tedious process. Follow these 5 easy steps to craft a plan of action so you can start marketing your practice today.
1. Analyze Your Situation
The first step in developing an effective medical marketing plan for your practice and a very important one at that is looking at your current situation. You have to analyze your competitors and understand your target market and environment. Start out by analyzing the strengths weaknesses opportunities and threats relating to your practice and marketplace.
In order to determine what your strengths and weaknesses are you have to look at your practice's internal situation. Analyze areas such as your services the credentials of medical staff office hours financial policies the location of your office the office itself and the attitude of staff members. Determine what your weaknesses are so you can improve those areas and determine what your strengths are so you can use them as competitive advantages.
Factors that are external to your practice are opportunities and threats. Find opportunities in your marketplace to improve the reputation of your practice and build your brand. You have to counteract threats in the marketplace that could put your practice in jeopardy. Threats include variations in referral patterns, fluctuations in your population base an increase in competition or changes in reimbursement.
When you assess your practice and marketplace be honest in your analysis. You need to be honest in order to uncover your weaknesses and emphasize your strengths. Discover what your obstacles are as you develop strategies.
2. Set Marketing Objectives
After you analyze your situation internally and externally you need to set marketing objectives. Objectives in your medical marketing plan must be specific measurable achievable and relevant to the mission of your practice. You should set timelines for achieving your objectives.
Examples of objectives that meet these requirements include:
The practice will expand by opening a satellite clinic in Toronto by October 2010.The practice will increase the number of referring positions by 20 in 2009.
Your objectives should relate to your clients, the services you offer your image brand reputation customer service and the profitability and growth of your practice.
3. Determine What Strategies You Will Use to Meet Your Objectives
In order to meet your objectives you must develop specific marketing strategies. Strategies you can use include introducing a new form of technology or service using advertising and media relations campaigns to market your practice providing superior customer service to achieve higher patient retention doing community outreach to improve reputation and conducting activities that would lead to the development of referrals.
You have to choose marketing strategies based on the type of market you are targeting. Obviously if you are trying to target physicians for referrals you would not use the same marketing strategies as you would if you were targeting the general public. Your best bet is to use a combination of different strategies. That way you are not putting all of your eggs into one basket. The marketing strategies you choose will also depend on the specific objectives you have and the budget and resources you have available.
4. Ready Set Action
Write down the steps that need to be taken for each marketing strategy you plan to use. Also include a timeline and budget for your plan. Assign staff members to be in charge of different parts of the campaign. Once you've done all of the above put your plan into action.
5. Measure and Track Your Progress
You need to develop indicators of your progress to ensure that your campaign stays on track. Evaluate key indicators on a regular basis so you can see the rewards that have come out of all of your hard work. Tweak your campaign and make revisions as necessary based on your findings.
When you talk to new patients ask them how they heard about you. Then you will know whether or not they found you as a result of one of your marketing advertising campaigns. Keep track of any mentions of your practice by paying attention to media and counting all the times the name of your practice is mentioned. Assess the number of new patients you receive each month and keep track of the numbers of patients coming from physician referral sources. Evaluate any variations in the number of patients coming from phDid you find this article useful? Hair Salon Marketing Plan Tips That Will Grow Your Business

Hair Salon Marketing Plan Overview:

You've heard it before when it comes to hair salon marketing - it's the little things that make the biggest difference. It doesn't matter if we're talking about your college degree, your marriage, or your hair salon services. Let's look at what really drives new clients to your business and how your hair salon marketing can grow your business.

Too often, the owner of a hair salon is far too busy focusing in the business rather than focusing on the business. What does this mean? It means that you should not be spending your days in the salon doing the "day to day" tasks, but rather you should be focusing on the long-term tasks like hair salon marketing that can reward you with a much higher payoff and over the long term.

To be successful you must create a hair salon marketing plan and you must use it. It really is that simple. Studies show that when it comes to hair salon marketing, those with a marketing plan will on average see a 30% higher sales volume that those that do not. How do you put together that marketing plan? Glad you asked.

1. First, study your salon and why clients choose to buy from your hair salon.

2. Document those reasons.

3. Create your message based on the results from #1.

4. Now break your marketing plan into segments like advertising plan, online marketing plan, newsletter plan, and even referral marketing plan.

5. Review your plan at least every two weeks and if at all possible once a week.

If you invest the necessary time to create a marketing "System" for your business, you will eliminate waste, duplication, lost sales, and chaos. System is an acronym for Save, Yourself, Stress, Time, Energy, and Money.

In almost all businesses including your hair salon 80% of your revenue will come from 20% of your clients. That means you need to do something outstanding with your hair salon marketing campaign and you should consider focusing that campaign on customers, you already have in an effort to improve that 80/20 ratio. Consider using newsletters, discount cards, or direct mail outs to encourage your current client base to return more often.

After you put so much effort into your hair salon marketing plan don't just assume it's working. You should test and track the marketing you implement as you go, after all you don't' want to be wasting money on marketing that isn't working. You will also want to analyze your profits from your hair salon marketing campaign. It's how you'll know what really works, what should stay, and what should go.

The Marketing Plan and the Four P's

The Marketing Plan section of the business plan demonstrates how a company will penetrate the market with its products and services. The Marketing Plan should include "the four P's" Product, Promotions, Price, and Place.

Products and/or Services
The first "P" stands for Product, but includes all products and services that the company offers. This section of the business plan should detail all the features of the products and services, how they work, their unique/proprietary attributes, etc. For products that are patented and/or technical in nature, drawings and backup materials should be presented in the Appendix.

Most growing companies offer certain products and services today but expect to offer more in the future. It is important to mention both current and future products/services here, but to focus primarily on the short-to-intermediate term horizon.

Promotions
Promotions include each of the activities that induce a customer to buy the company's products and services. Promotional activities could include advertising, public relations (PR), free samples, discounts, direct mail, telemarketing, partnerships, etc.

This section of the business plan discusses which promotions will be used and how they will be used. For instance, if partnerships will be used to secure new customers, the plan must explain which companies are partners, how they will be able to provide new customers, how the partnership will work (from operational/ financial standpoints), etc.

This section must be as specific as possible, particularly as it relates to discussing future promotions. To say that a company is going to generate PR in trade magazines is simply too vague. Rather, the plan must explain the type of article/feature that may be written about the firm and why, which specific trade journals that will be targeted and/or the projected publication dates.

In discussing how the company will promote itself, it is important to discuss how the company will position itself. This positioning statement details the attributes that customers will assign to the company, its products and services. The choice of promotional activities must support this positioning. For example, discounts might not be consistent with a desire to be considered an upscale brand.

Price
This section of the plan should detail the price point(s) at which the company's products and services will be sold. If the products/ services are sold as bundles, these should be detailed in this section. Rationale for the pricing should be given when applicable (e.g., why the company has chosen an initiation fee plus monthly membership fees versus a one-time lifetime membership fee).

Place
The final "P" refers to "Place" or "Distribution" and explains how a company's products and/or services will be delivered to customers. This section is crucial because if customers cannot access products and services, they cannot purchase them.

This section is especially critical for high-growth, capital-constrained companies. Attaining profit-effective distribution channels is often the most vexing challenge for these businesses. Examples of distribution methods include retail locations, website, distributors, wholesalers, direct mail catalogs, etc.

Many companies have multiple distribution methods to deliver their products and services to customers and each should be detailed here.

Detailing the "the four P's" in the marketing plan is critical in proving to investors that your company will be able to efficiently and effectively penetrate its market.

What to Include in Your Marketing Plan Write-Up

For those new to marketing planning, the thought of completing a plan from start to finish may feel daunting. It need not. The level of detail you choose to include in your marketing plan will depend on your resources and situation. If you have extremely limited manpower or other resources, you may be constrained to a "broad brush" approach. If your plan must support your Website's validity to others in the company, a lot of back-up detail may be appropriate.

Basic Marketing Plan Content
Include a summary at the beginning. Like any business report, your plan write-up should begin with a summary. The traditional executive summary is one option. I prefer to include - either in addition to or instead of the executive summary - a one-page table. The table makes everyday use of your plan easier. In one glance you can be reminded of your main challenge, objective, strategies, and tactics as well as budgets and deadlines. Also, as your plan evolves throughout the year, the table makes it easier to strategically modify the plan.

Explain your reasoning. Make some reference to why you chose the specific objective(s) and strategies in your plan. This will make it easier to justify the plan to others (if necessary). It will also help you make smarter, strategic decisions.

Identify your target customers. By doing so, you will be better able to develop effective advertising messages.

Write one or more positioning statements. In the statement(s), specify the customer needs you are fulfilling, benefits your products/services offer, and features that deliver those benefits.

Explain key issues and opportunities. These can best be identified through industry and/or competitive analyses.

Include preliminary budgets and timelines for your action plans.

Expanded Content for Your Marketing Plan
You can also expand your marketing plan write-up to include detailed analysis and arguments to substantiate your plan:

Describe the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats your business and/or Website face (SWOT analysis).

Explain the online business environment. What are your competitors' Web strategies? How do your customers use your site, competing sites, and the Internet in general? What potential substitutes are available?

Include the trends in your industry and how they affect both online and offline activity. Show growth projections.

Detail the financial aspects. Include break even analysis for your site as well as for the tactics included in your plan. Discuss assumptions made when completing your financial analysis. Show how implementation of your plan will be profitable to your business.

Include a calendar of events that shows milestones in the coming weeks or months.

You can be as detailed or top-line as needed with the final marketing plan write-up. In any case remember that your marketing plan is always a work in progress. It may be current, but it is never "done".

Sales and Marketing Plan for Mortgage Professionals

The housing market, combined with the recent tax incentive, has created a new target audience for Realtors and Loan Officers. The need for a sales and marketing plan to address education, building relationships, and communication will generate increased business for the Loan Officer and Realtor to provide assistance to first time home buyer.

The housing downturn has created significant demand for homeownership, especially among first-time home buyers (FTHB), according to a survey on Realtor.com. That is great news for the real estate market, but there are some significant challenges that Realtors and Mortgage Professionals will face.

First challenge: Looming Deadline with NO PLAN

November 30th,,, 2009 is the date the tax credit goes away. That's 5 months from the day this article was written, which seems like a long time but the reality is that it will be here before we know it. Those who plan on taking advantage of this opportunity need to have a well thought out, fool-proof plan to execute. The sad reality is that people have been/were so busy with refinance business that they didn't have time to build a plan. Others are starving for direction and want a plan but don't have the "know-how" to build one. A strategic sales and marketing plan includes tactics that keep your plan within the necessary timeline.

Second challenge: Weak Relationships

FTHBs are tricky and require a strong relationship and good communication between the Realtor and Loan Officer. As a result of the recent low interest rate environment or "mini refi-boom, mortgage companies focused much of their efforts and time on capturing the refinance opportunities, not building relationships with Realtors. The result: many Realtors were left unattended. Relationship marketing tactics are needed to generate a successful partnership to meet this challenge.

Third challenge: Weak Value Propositions

Everyone knows that Loan Officers need to partner with Realtors but the question is , "why would they partner with you?" Good service and low rates are overused clichés and don't differentiate. Relationships are great, but at the end of the day the relationship needs to lead to "value creation" for both parties for it to be sustainable. A sales marketing plan will outline the strategy needed to create value for the Loan Officer and Realtor.

Fourth challenge: Education Gap

The Obama administration is hoping that a recently enacted tax credit can generate housing demand and help mop up the existing unsold inventory. But according to a survey by Move, Inc.--which operates Realtor.com--nearly half (47%) of home buyers don't even know the tax credit exists! A marketing communication plan is needed to target the first time home buyer educating them about this tax incentive.

Fifth challenge: Fear in the Marketplace

-52% of Americans are concerned that they or someone they know will face foreclosure in the next six to 12 months.
-18.9% (one out of five) of homeowners plan to take advantage of the administration's new program to help prevent foreclosures.
-21% of all homeowners with a mortgage contacted a lender to restructure their loan in the last 12 months.
-Half (10.6%) of those homeowners that contacted their lender experienced success while 5% still await an answer.
-27.1% of adults believe that they or someone they know may default on their mortgage because of unemployment or because they owe more on their home than it's worth.

I won't even begin to mention the media's contribution to this fear. The reality is that people are scared and need guidance. The question is , "who will they trust?" They will trust those whom they have a strong relationship with and/or those who have unshakeable credibility. To meet this challenge create a marketing plan that brands you as experienced in your field and a knowledgeable professional that can be trusted.

The good news in all of this is that there is a ton of opportunity out there. Take a look at the statistics of when Americans are planning on buying:
-23% of all adults plan to purchase a home in the next five years
-5.8% within next 12 months,
-12.8% within the next two years

Here is the opportunity -

First-time Home Buyers make up over half (53.5%) of the market, and the government is offering them an $8,000 tax credit to purchase a house. But here's the kicker: 47.6% of Americans don't know about the tax credit! That's almost half the American population! What this means to you is that a lot of people want to buy a home in the next 12 months and most of them are FTHBs who aren't even aware of a huge incentive ($8,000 tax credit).

Okay, so now you see the opportunity, and the question that should be going through your mind is, "how do I maximize this opportunity given the challenges outlined above?" Great question!

It is for this reason that The Million Dollar Challenge was created. The Million Dollar Mortgage Challenge is a call to action for Loan Officers to partner together with Realtors in helping First Time Home Buyers receive $1,000,000 in tax credits. It provides sales and marketing plan information that will produce the desired results for the Loan Officer, Real Estate Agent, and the home buyer.

Improve Your Restaurant Marketing by Having a Plan

A marketing plan for restaurant effectiveness is key for attracting new customers to your restaurant and for retaining repeat customers. A solid marketing plan features various components to capture a broad range of people. It should also be measurable so results can be tracked.

Once a restaurant is open and word of mouth has begun to spread, a marketing plan for restaurant flexibility translates to a healthy bottom line. A marketing plan should be a combination of things, like direct mail, promotions, community activities, and targeted and traceable advertising. Themed dinners, specials, and other in-house promotions are also successful and inexpensive marketing activities.

A marketing plan for restaurant business means enticing repeat customers. For example, a marketing effort that honors customers on their birthday with a special promotion encourages a larger group of diners to join in the celebration. Not only does this encourage repeat business, but a larger party of diners who will be part of the celebration. This means more people will experience your restaurant, thus creating more referrals.

When developing a marketing plan for restaurant success, look at your overall business. It's important to know the environment in which you are doing business. You should be able to identify your market, compare your competition, define your customer base, explore other customer based opportunities, implement focused marketing efforts for new and repeat business, identify your competitive edge, determine menu price points, and implement up-sell strategies.

A marketing plan for restaurant lifecycles should address busy and slow months. Establish a marketing budget in proportion to your sales. You should spend between 3% and 6% of your gross sales. Your marketing plan can be a combination of direct mail, promotions, community activities, and radio, television and print advertising. In-house promotions are also effective, such as themed dinners or early bird specials. Get to know your local media and find ways to encourage free press. Think creatively and consider every opportunity a way to market your restaurant.

A marketing plan for restaurant development should explore efforts that better connect you with the customer so they feel part of your family and want to support your business. A marketing plan for restaurant development can include targeted mailings, coupons, customer loyalty cards, an e-newsletter, a website and gift certificates. An inexpensive marketing plan is an email campaign where you collect customer's emails in the restaurant or through your website and email them regularly about events, specials, holiday happenings and incentives for dining with you at certain times.

A marketing plan for restaurant continuity means involving the entire staff because they have direct contact with diners. A trained staff is the best marketing strategy because they set the tone for a customer's experience and whether they will return and refer your restaurant to others. Enhancing customer expectations through the dining experience is an inexpensive marketing effort and will ensure a customer's future return and referrals to others.

A marketing plan for restaurant effectiveness means building upon a strong foundation that takes all areas into consideration. This takes all areas into consideration, such as changes in the restaurant industry, your market, the competition in the area, your customers and other influences. Marketing efforts should also be measurable so you can analyze their value. Whether your marketing plan is established internally or by a marketing consultant, it needs to be an integral part of the daily operations of a restaurant.

Brochures: Ideal Marketing Tools for Tanning Salons

Many clients rely on tanning salons to achieve that perfect sunny glow. As a salon owner, you want your business to be your client's first and only choice. However, with all the other salons offering their services to clients, selling yourself to the market becomes a tough process. Arming yourself with an effective marketing tool like a brochure is the best solution for selling your business to your ideal clients. A brochure serves as a silent "sales person" representing your brand to the market. Ensure the effectiveness of your brochures with these few tips in mind:

5 Tips for Creating Tanning Salon Brochures

• Organize all your information. The very first step that you should take in creating your brochures is to determine the information you want to include in your prints. Remember that it is important to focus on a single message so as not to confuse your readers. Determining your main message helps you to achieve effective communication. So, always decide on the information you want to put emphasis on and the supporting details to be included in your brochures.

• Choose appropriate images. Images are essential components of your brochures, because these support your message. For instance, if you want to showcase your comfortable tanning facilities, you can use photos of clients lying comfortably on your tanning bed. Mixed Flow Fan - New Concept

A completely re-designed high pressure MVA series mixed flow in-line fans finally resolves the problem of pushing air through high resistance and long ventilation ducts.Mixed Flow fans are an excellent choice for return air, supply, or general ventilation applications where low sound is critical. As compared to similarly sized tubular centrifugals and vane axials, a mixed flow fan will be 5-20 dB quieter! In addition, the mixed flow wheel is extremely efficient and will cut down on operating expenses.Unique features of the MVA Mixed Flow Fans include:- Universal Mounting System that allows the unit to be field rotated at the job site - Compact design with standard slip-fit duct connections for ease of installation - UL/CSA listing for electrical is available - Continuously welded housing with a standard powder paint finish suitable for indoor or outdoor applications - A complete three plane vibration test of all assembled fans prior to shipmentModel MVAB:* Belt drive construction with motor out of the airstream * Air Handling Quality bearings selected with a minimum life in excess of L(10) 50,000 hours at the maximum operating speed * Performance capacities from 1,000 to 100,000 cfm (1,700 - 165,000 m3/hour) and pressures up to 8 in. wg. (2000 Pa)Model MVAD:* Direct drive construction eliminates belts, pulleys, and shaft bearing maintenance * MVAD design is more compact for space critical application * Partial wheel widths allow for wide performance capacities ranging from 500 to 105,000 cfm (900 - 170,000 m3/hour) and pressures up to 9 in. w.g. (2300PA) Another in-line fan for for air moving in round ducts by NISCO Fan Co. is a high pressure small vaneaxial fan finally resolves the problem of boosting air flow in long ventilation ducts of today's large residential houses. For a long time the efficient ventilation of remote rooms in the large houses could be done only with two independent air supply sources (like a furnace). Ventilating ductwork in contemporary large houses becomes so long and elaborated that even a high pressure furnace fan couldn't generate enough static pressure to blow through the whole length of such a duct. The existing low pressure booster duct fans, even though compact enough to be installed in-line in the house ventilation ductwork, still do not provide enough booster pressure / airflow. The usual solution to this problem was installation of two independent furnaces with different air ducts, which is rather expensive option.A new high pressure (up to 1.5" WG) small vaneaxial Series VA fan is an ideal booster fan for prolonged ducts. Unlike inline centrifugal ventilator, that also generates rather high pressure, the air comes out not from a peripheral outlet ring area, but distributes evenly across its outlet opening like in true axial blowers. The other advantages of VA Series vaneaxial ventilators is their intrinsic spark-resistant construction because of all-aluminum construction; quiet operation of true vaneaxial design; lower energy consumption due to efficient wheel design.Eight different sizes from 6" DIA to 10" DIA offer wide performance range for any ventilation duct design. Direct drive design ensures long live, maintenance-free operation. Explosion proof motors are available too, as well as sliding dampers, various mounting options, additional sound isolation. For additional information please refer to http://www.nisco.net/nyb.html.Oleg TchechelCanadian Industrial Process EngineerNISCO Fan Co.http://www.nisco.net/heatexchange.htmlhttp://www.nisco.net/ige.html

Copyright (c) 2009 Ontarian Ke'Chan Hawkins

As a MLM network marketing trainer and consultant, I know the importance of incorporating a 90 day marketing plan of action into a business, especially multi-level programs. In order to attain immediate momentum in your new business, this step is the most important of them all. So how is this marketing plan developed, and what pillars of marketing are necessary for ultimate success?

Strength vs. Weakness

The first components to consider with a 90 day marketing plan are your strengths and weaknesses in marketing. Are you an intermediate online marketer, a beginner, or advanced? Are you a good writer? Do you feel shy being on video? Are you a good speaker? These are great questions to ask yourself before outlining a plan of action. I have personally found my strengths to be in three major areas of marketing. These include article marketing, blogging, and video marketing. The key is to have at least 3-5 pillars of marketing circulating on a daily basis. Being a mlm network marketing training coach, I always emphasize the beauty of marketing pillars.

Get Sound Advice

Now that you have recognized your strengths and weaknesses, you are now ready to move forward in your 90 day marketing plan, but wait, you need sound advice from a professional who's had the chance to implement the marketing plan thoroughly, especially if this is your first time. In the mlm network marketing business, good sound advice comes every once in a while from a few good leaders. Find a coach, mentor, or guide that will walk you through the training you need to succeed in your business. Having all the right answers in the beginning will make life a lot easier once you begin to move forward.

Implement the 90 Day Marketing Plan

Now that you've done your homework in identifying your strength and weakness, you've received sound advice from an elite mlm network marketing trainer, you are now ready to implement the plan of action. After 90 days, simply start the plan over again for another 90 days. Do this over and over and over time, it will become a no-brainer and your mlm business will soon soar. A typical marketing plan looks like this:

Day 1-- Blogging/Social Bookmark/Article Marketing

Day 2- Video Marketing/Podcast/Social Bookmark

Day 3- Newspaper Advertising/Postcard Marketing

Day 4--Facebook & Myspace Prospecting

Day 5--Regroup/Rest

Repeat...

Starting a mlm network marketing business can be a real pain if a 90 day marketing plan of action is not in the mix. I make sure all my clients understand the importance of this technique. Cash flow and leads are what keep a multi-level marketing company in business, and without them, the business is soon to fold. Implementing the tips above will help move your business forward in style.

Small Businesses Promotions: Getting your Mix Right

Tips on Planning Your Promotional Mix

The secret to successful promotion is doing a few simple things effectively. The trick is knowing which ones and what it takes to be effective. You need to think strategically and from the perspective of those people you want to attract to your business.

o What's the thinking process they go through to make decisions about your product / service?

o What information do they need to make those decisions?

o What's the simplest way to get that information to them that will catch their attention, inform them and have them moving to the next stage in the decision process?

Think through these questions and you are on your way to having a far more effective approach to marketing and promotion. Then simplicity, consistency and professionalism are key. Always respect your audience, continually challenge your company to increase its professionalism and keep doing it time and time again.

The Four Basic Pillars of Successful Marketing

In 1964 Neil Borden published an article describing the concept of the marketing mix. In that article, Borden described the criteria that are within the control of the marketer, as well as how decisions related to each criterion affect the target market. This concept became known as the "four P's" of marketing. The four P's refer to Product, Price, Place and Promotion.

The four P's is a crucial concept that ultimately determines your success or failure. Together, they form the basis of your Market Mix. The decisions you make for each of the four criteria identify your target market. You can't effectively create a marketing campaign if you don't fully understand who your target audience is. Conversely, if you know your target market beforehand, you need to adjust the approach for each of the criteria in order to successfully reach that market. Simply taking a "shotgun" approach doesn't work.

Let's use Nike as an example. Nike understood that their target was primarily sports oriented young people (teens and young adults). What if Nike had used former Senator Bob Dole as their spokesman rather than Michael Jordan? Would their marketing campaign have succeeded? It's unlikely that seeing Bob Dole run around a basketball court in Nike shoes would have been an effective marketing approach.

On the other hand, Pfizer did use Bob Dole for their Viagra marketing campaign. Pfizer had a completely different target market from Nike. That target, middle-aged men, could relate to Dole. He also brought a level of acceptance to the idea of taking Viagra: "if it's good enough for Bob, it's good enough for me".

Successful businesses understand their target market, and how to effectively reach them.

Let's now examine each of the four P's and their effect on the overall marketing mix.

PRODUCT
As it relates to the marketing mix, product can refer to any business sector: sales of physical items, services, training, consulting, or Internet Marketing. Product is whatever your business provides.

A key component of the product criteria is branding. Whether it's shampoo, bicycles, or any other product, studies have shown that people generally purchase products they are familiar with. When you go to the store to buy shampoo, do you just pick up the first product you see or do you buy a specific brand?

The same applies to other business sectors. As a result of a very aggressive marketing campaign, The University of Phoenix has become known as a leader in the field of online continuing education. Let's presume you wanted to take such classes to further your education or obtain your degree. If you did a Google search for "online education", the result would be page after page of potential options. Included in that list would be the University of Phoenix, as well as many others you have most likely never heard about. Given the name recognition, which of those links would you most likely click on first? It's all about branding.

Another consideration within the product criteria is quality. No matter how successful the Nike marketing campaign, if their shoes fell apart after just a week or two there would be no repeat sales. Customer loyalty is achieved by having a quality product. Offering a substandard product is not a formula for long-term success.

Ongoing support is another crucial element. Even a company with a quality product will suffer if support for that product is difficult to obtain. The support issue is more of a factor in some business areas (e.g., consumer electronics) than others, but it can't be overlooked. Several of the computer providers that were at the top of the list for sales a few years ago are now down in the middle of the pack. Not surprisingly, their decline in sales coincided with their decline in customer support. People remember painful experiences. Customer support should be an integral part of your marketing mix.

The way you package your product is also important. Whether it is warranted or not, people often buy products with the most attractive packaging. Packaging includes everything from the physical box a product comes in to the design of your web site. Image matters.

One way to have your product stand out from those of your competition is to offer additional features, accessories or services. Doing this may increase your cost, but it can also increase your sales. It is yet one more decision to consider as you develop your marketing mix.

PRICING
One of the trickiest aspects of determining your marketing mix is pricing. There is generally some flexibility with this component, but it should not be considered in isolation.

One of the critical factors of course is anticipated volume. If you can offer your product at a lower price than your competitors, that certainly gives you an edge in your marketing approach. On the other hand, the price you charge must also provide you a realistic opportunity to make a viable profit margin.

Keep in mind; your overall cost for the product is not just your wholesale price. Your cost also includes operational expenses such as telephone lines, web hosting services, accountant fees, and so on.

You can't afford to take a knee-jerk, emotional approach to setting a low price just to beat your competition. You must weigh the decrease in profit margin with the increase in sales volume. Selling your product lower than the competition with little or no margin is not the route to a successful business. The price points you identified in your business plan should be used as a guide. You did do a business plan right?

One of the major areas of pricing flexibility comes with "bundling". When I ran a hardware sales business in the early 90s, I made a calculated decision to sell memory cards at my cost when I bundled them with motherboards. While I made no profit on the memory cards in the bundle, I did increase the volume of motherboard sales.

Volume discounts for your customers is another possible option to consider. Obviously, doing this will depend on the type of product you sell. But using my hardware sales experience an example, I offered my customers volume discount pricing on most hardware items when purchased in lots of 3, 5, or 10+. The decrease in profit margin for each unit was offset by the increase in volume.

My recommendation would be to do market research to determine the lowest and highest prices for the same product offered by your competitors. With that information, and in conjunction with other relevant criteria, you can find your ideal price point.

PLACE
The "place" component originated with the famous marketing adage of "location, location, location". In today's world, especially with the availability of the Web, it really has more to do with distribution channels, market coverage, and payment methods.

In terms of the distribution channel, the question relates to how you will get the product to your customers. If you anticipate selling your product online to large numbers of people, do you have the resources to package and ship these yourself, or should you consider a 3rd party alternative?

As a general rule of thumb, people who purchase products online expect to have those products delivered within 3-5 days. A delay beyond that timeframe is not conducive to repeat sales. If you aren't able to meet that requirement you should consider using one of the many 3rd party companies that will do that for you.

Of course, if your product is software or some other electronic format material (such as an eBook) the question of distribution is greatly simplified. Products such as these can easily be transferred to the customer directly over the Internet.

Depending on your type of business, your distribution channel may also relate to your physical location. A business in Bangor, Maine that offers dog-grooming services isn't going to be concerned about providing that service to someone in Phoenix, Arizona. In such a case, the entire marketing mix strategy should be focused on geographic location.

The Market Coverage element identifies another aspect of product distribution. Do you plan to offer your product exclusively, or will you have resellers, secondary distributors and/or affiliates in other parts of the country or world? This decision is largely a factor of your business model as well as the type of product. The exclusive distribution model allows all profits to come directly to you. Using resellers or affiliates dilutes your direct profit, but increases your potential coverage area.

The Payment Method element includes a number of factors, most of which are also dependent on your business model. For instance, a company that offers online training or consulting may offer payment plans. One that provides an ongoing service (e.g., a Traffic Exchange) would typically utilize recurring payments. A company that sells physical products (e.g., computer hardware) would generally require payment in advance.

If you plan to sell items on your web site, as opposed to just providing information about a service (e.g., dog-grooming), you need to accept online payments (credit cards, direct deposit, et cetera). Very few people are going to go to a product site to make a purchase and then put a check in the mail; they will just go to one of your competitors. The more payment options you give people, the more likely they are to buy. You also want to allow for the fact that people are prone to impulse purchases. Make it simple for them.

PROMOTION
Product promotion is where all the other elements of the marketing mix coalesce. Promotion is not just about the product. It is about getting across the message you wish to convey. It includes several key elements: "push" vs. "pull", branding and image, and advertising.

The "push" part of promotion is simply making information about your product or service available. While this is obviously important, your primary focus should be on the "pull" aspect. Putting this concept in simple terms, don't just sell to people; make THEM want to buy from you. Whatever product you offer, make people think about your company first when they require that product. Better yet, make them want the product even when they don't need it.

A large part of an effective "pull" strategy is branding. You want to make your business synonymous with your product. You also want to associate a specific image to your target market audience. I've already spoken about the campaign Nike put in place. Do you even remember seeing one of their shoes in the ad? Their goal in that campaign was to portray an image: success in sports.

Consider other successful marketing campaigns: the "Marlboro Man" portraying an image of the rugged, self-sufficient man; the Prudential Rock, with its implication of solid stability; and Salomon Smith Barney with the "earn it the old fashioned way" projection of respect and integrity. It's all about image.

Many times, the branding applied to a product has nothing to do with the product itself. As with all marketing, the intent is to provide a unique, easy to remember identity. Consider the AFLAC Duck. A duck has as much to do with insurance as, well, as a duck has to do with insurance. But when you see the duck you immediately know the product. The same applies to Budweiser's Spuds McKenzie and the GEICO Gecko.

FINAL THOUGHTS
All too many people confuse advertising with sales. They are not the same. Advertising is important but it is only a subset of successful marketing. You use advertising to get your message out. It's what's in that message that is key however.

The components of that message (image, brand recognition, etc.) are what successful marketing is all about. A thorough understanding of the marketing mix can most effectively help to identify, and refine, those components.

International Professional Marketing Defined

International professional marketing pertains to comprehensive marketing that is executed by companies overseas and is carried out across national political and geographical barriers. The IPM technique uses and extended or expanded form of the approaches used in a firm's home country or shall we say, used in local advertising.

Introduction to International Professional Marketing
International professional marketing put simply is the expert application of marketing strategies to more than one country. IPM is generally the same as global professional marketing, though distinctions have eventually been developed and some people now see these two terms to have their own different meanings.

Internationalization is what has sparked the start of the intersection between international professional marketing and global professional marketing. Nowadays, many American and European professionals view IPM as a mere extension of export, wherein the marketing mix 4P's is simply is somehow utilized to consider the changes in consumers and segments. The same people then see GPM as a more standard and scientific approach to world markets and is focused generally on similarity - the likeness in consumers and segments.

Definitions of International Professional Marketing
At its most basic stage, international professional marketing gets the firm involved in coming up with one or more ideal marketing mix or mixes across national boundaries. At its most compound stage, it engages the firm in the setting up of manufacturing facilities and infrastructure offshore and synchronizing marketing strategies over the globe. Hence, the differentiation between IPM and GPM can be seen respectively as simple mix changes and complex extensive mix changes.

International professional marketing can also be said to be the execution of business processes that direct the flow of a company's products and services to customers or patrons that belong to more than one nation for gain or profit. In this view, IPM can be considered as substitute for GPM.

International professional marketing can also be perceived as the utilization of marketing capabilities and orientation into the realm of international business. The international market goes beyond the export marketer and becomes more involved in the marketing environment of the nations in which the firm is engaged in business with.

Definitions of Global Professional Marketing
Global professional marketing or transnational marketing pertains to marketing activities integrated and coordinated across multiple country markets. GPM can be described as the extension of IMP, hence, its bigger brother. Global leveraging of company assets, experience and products upon adjusting to the different criteria different and unique in each country involved is the primary focus of GPM.

Marketing elements are subjective and various definitions exist for each one. Hence, there is no sure way to determine where international professional marketing ends and global professional marketing begins. Therefore, it is not wrong to assume that both terms are interchangeable.

International professional marketing is generally more complicated than marketing a product to only one country. Language barriers, ideals, and customs in the market they are approaching should be vital considerations. Success or failure will be greatly influenced by how the company tailored its marketing strategies to induce a certain group of people it is attempting to sell products and services to. Globalization also facilitates other companies to launch hidden attacks against potential competitors.

Clothing Boutique Print-Mix Campaign Ideas

Different Approaches for Successful Promotional Campaigns

Just like any other business, clothing boutiques require marketing campaigns to boost their profit. Since clothing boutiques promote a fashionable lifestyle, giving your materials a little bit of twist is possible for color, art, glamour, and creativity is part of the main concept in the fashion industry.

Marketing your products with postcard campaigns is effective for reaching out personally to clients. Also, with fashion as your product, dealing with design concepts will be interesting to your target market.

1. Postcard campaign: Along with your greeting cards, adding flyer prints of the same postcard size can add opportunity to promote. Since you are sending postcards on several occasions, you have reason to promote clothes that are fitting for the same season as well. Another approach can be through promoting discounts on the same occasion too.
2. Postcard giveaway: Together with your
postcard printing
, you can include calendars as special gifts for loyal customers. Showing your clients that you recognize their loyalty to your store and your products builds good relations and your clients will appreciate the gesture. The calendars can serve as both an added promotion with the back part used as a design meant to promote, and also print out coupons or discount offers for your intended loyal customers.
3. Catalog Campaign: If your greetings come with a catalog that lets your recipients in the know of what is upcoming with your clothesline, your customers will have added reference and another reason to come back to your boutique. You can promote the new and end season, and send out discounts for last season's clothes. Catalogs can be easily edited and your designs can be well-guided in a trusted online printing company.

Mixed prints for your campaigns can be a good way to increase the effectiveness of your gestures. By adding special features and offers, customers will feel taken care of, remember, and have reasons to come back and avail more of your products.

The Marketing Mix: Ingredients for Success

The marketing mix, earlier known as the 4 p's, (but now has a few more), is a vital part of any marketing strategy. This is a tool whereby the marketer takes decisions on what and how a product should be, where it can be sold, how it should be priced, how it will be promoted, how to equip the people who are responsible for selling the product… and so on. Getting the marketing mix right is equally important for the large corporation and the small business owner. Let us take a closer look at the 5 most important elements.

Product: Well, surely that's what it's all about, isn't it? A lot of thought and effort goes into designing a product offering. The most important question that you, as a marketer, need to ask is whether there is a need for your type of product and how your own product satisfies that need better than those of your competitors. This will force you to think of why your product is unique, and thereby help you evolve your product's Unique Selling Proposition. At the same time, you will need to analyze your company's strengths and weaknesses and the opportunities and threats posed by the market, to understand how you are positioned versus the competition.

Price: This element of the marketing mix can be many a strategy's undoing. A complete understanding of the financials that drive a business is essential before deciding a pricing strategy. Base your decision after considering the following - what is the perceived value of your product in the eyes of the customer? How price elastic is the market? Do you wish to load overheads on to the new product, if an existing product line is capable of absorbing them? What is your objective - do you plan to gain market share on the strength of a rock bottom price or do you wish to create a premium image targeted at niche customers and price your product accordingly?

Place: This is probably that element of the marketing mix that has undergone a complete change in definition. Traditional trading and distribution models have given way to remote or virtual channels. While reaching the customer may have become simpler, your job as a decision maker has become that much more complex. You now have a plethora of options to choose from - do you go for brick and mortar or direct mailing, use the phone or sell door to door? This decision should, first and foremost, be driven by customer preference and then by other considerations like logistics and economics. Indeed most businesses rely on a multi distribution channel strategy.

Promotion: In a commoditized industry, this is what makes the essential difference. Possibly no other marketing mix element draws as much attention from strategy makers. Again, let consumer needs drive your efforts. Does your marketing communication address a specific need of the target audience? Is the message memorable? Does it spur action? Here again, the entire landscape has changed from what it was a few years ago. Promotion has gone way beyond mere advertising and public relations - it is now a highly evolved process, ranging from live events to internet marketing. In these times of information overload, promotion strategies must pack sufficient punch to cut through the clutter.

People: Although a later entrant to the marketing mix family, the people decision is no less important. Indeed, in service oriented businesses, it may well be the key determinant of success. No strategy is complete unless the people who are in charge of implementing it have the wherewithal to do so. This means investing in sales force training, ensuring a customer relationship management system is in place and building a customer centric culture throughout the organization.

Remember also that the marketing mix is a dynamic entity and needs to be reviewed and refined periodically. It always helps to stay in touch with the latest developments and current expert opinion. or should have what you're looking for in terms of books and other resources.

How To Earn Money Online and Pay No Tax

In these very troubled times, the question is, how can the ordinary man or women make some extra cash easily, with little risk and legally PAY NO TAX.

The answer for a growing number of people is to use a technique of exchanging currencies that allows them keep the difference as profit. It may sound hard but in fact it is very easy and simple to do. All you need is some simple guidelines, some spare time and a little cash to get you going.

There are literally thousands and thousands of ordinary people from all walks of life quietly doing just this every day of the week and the amazing thing is they need no formal training, special skills or be ultra intelligent to do it. In fact silly as it might sound the less you know about trading and the Foreign Exchange Market (Forex) the better as you will not have any pre conceived ideas or bad habits to over come.

So what exactly is involved.

Although there are two ways to do the exchanging of currencies (loosely called trading) in reality there is only one that allows you to keep all the profit and is easy and simple for the average person to do and understand.

That is spread betting!

As the name implies with spread betting you are basically betting but rather than like betting in horse racing or dog racing where you are predicting what will win the race with spread betting you are predicting which direction a particular currency that you choose is going to move in a given time frame.

Now I know we have all heard the horrendous stories of people losing massive amounts of money from trading but to be honest these are probably not true unless you are talking about the city high flyers that trade with massive amounts of money at their disposal. For the average private trader the sums involved are mostly in the 10s or 100s range rather than 1000s or certainly 10,000s. In addition with the sensible use of a Stop Loss it is virtually impossible to lose more than you determine when you start the trade.

This subject is far larger than can be covered in this brief article but by keeping it simple and not trying to become an expert even the most inexperienced person can make some really helpful income from this business.

By all means do some research and find out about what the Forex is all about but before you do simply go and see what the possibilities are by visiting the site detailed below.

How to make money online by trading the Financial Markets is a concept that is now readily available for anyone who wants the flexibility and freedom of working from home. p90X - Bring it Everytime and see Results FAST!

Like the p90x, the turbo jam workout routine is another calorie-blasting routine which was designed by Chalene Johnson. The package is composed of kick boxing (which is a mega calorie blaster), body sculpting (used for toning up the minute muscle groups) and some really rocking dance music collection as an icing on the cake. The popularity of the turbo jam routine can be adjudged from the fact that an estimated one million people had accepted and got great results from the turbo jam workout system last year itself. Turbo jam designers have made a commitment to keep evolving better and more innovative plans over the coming years in order to give their customers the best in term of the workout efficiency and results.

The results that some people have achieved over the past few years have been phenomenal and some people have been said to burn out more than a 1000 calories per hour of a turbo jam workout. Considering that a die-hard turbo jam follower does more than 2 hours of workout, one can well imagine that he would be burning calories in excess of 2000, every single day. This number is phenomenal in the sense that jogging, swimming and power training, combined do not have the capacity to give you such a blasting calorie burn in such a short span of time.

The learn and burn routine is the basic building block, around which most of your turbo jam workout routines would revolve. Chalene has introduced her '11 steps', following which, you are bound to burn and blast those excessive calories and fat within hours. Next, the turbo sculpt, as the name suggests is a special workout session, which is aimed at toning, shaping and giving dimension to those problems areas in your body. Apart from these two routines, Chalene also recommends a 20 minute complete body workout, which is much like the 10 minute workout based on Tony Horton's p90x. This 20 minute workout is for those who are short on time and still need to blast a few quick calories, out of their bodies. The AB jam workout routine is another great, short and crisp workout plan, which has been developed specifically, as the name suggests, targeting the abdominal section. The routine is designed in such a manner that it targets the oblique and the lower abdominal areas to give shape and definition to those parts of the body which are usually the most difficult to work upon. This is one sure shot workout model that can help you in achieving a perfect six/eight pack physique. Finally, the cardio party, which is equivalent to a lot of cardio based workout routines in other similar programs, such as the p90x and the hip hop abs, is a routine which is recommended towards the end of your workout session. This is a cool-down plus muscle renew session, which is aimed at relaxing, strengthening and toning your body towards the end of a hefty workout session and is one of the best workout routines to end a session.

Set up backyard to the baseball field

As most of us are aware baseball is the most popular game in United States and Americans enjoy playing this game. To play the game more frequently and for longer hours, the ideal thing would be to build a backyard baseball field. While it may not be practicable to build a backyard baseball field to scale, you can certainly make one that provides a lot of excitement and fun. To build our own backyard baseball field is not difficult if you can spare the time and have the willingness.

Thoroughly examine your backyard for a space that is rectangular or round in shape. Obviously the bigger the space you can provide, the better will be the baseball field. It will be helpful if you can identify a place in your backyard that is even and without many obstructions, such as rocks, plants or trees. Obtain an approximate measurement of the area you have using measurement tape. This will help you decide the scale of your field. As you are aware, the average baseball field center wall is 400 feet from home plate. If your yard measures 200 feet, you will be required to cut the rest of the measurements in half to build your backyard baseball field.

side-view-pitchingpadUse a protractor and position your home plate in a way that you can read a 90 degree angle as if it were the base of a diamond. The playing area between first base and third base needs to be a perfect right angle of ninety degrees. After marking that spot, using a rope roll it out the length of your backyard on each 90 degree angle. These are essentially your foul lines. If your baseball field is say 200 feet as presumed earlier, then your bases will be at 45 feet. Mark 45 feet from home plate along each rope, using your tape. These are the first and third base respectively. Again using your protractor measure 90 degrees from first and third base, so that the angle is facing out where second base would be. Take more rope and lead from first and third base, on that 90 degree angle until it crosses. This is second base. Finally measure the distance between home plate and second base and in the middle is where you should mark the pitching grip. The only measurement that has to be scrupulously exact is the Little League 46 foot distance from plate to pitchers mound. This is essential for a batter to learn correct timing. All other base placement is arbitrary but it will be nice if you can match the Little League distances as far as possible.

The next step is to cut the grass. In the Major Leagues, there is a difference between the length of the grass in the infield and in the outfield. If you wish your baseball field to be near to the original, then cut the infield grass one inch and the outfield at two inches. This will separate the two and give the field a more realistic appearance. With the aid of your ropes for straight lines, spray paint every place you have marked. This will become the outline of your field. You should also spray paint the foul lines, base paths and pitcher's mound. Appropriately place your bases which you can find cheaply at any sporting goods stores. You have now completed your own backyard baseball field.

All About Direct TV Test Cards

The Direct TV test card, a small electronic chip, inserts into the TV receiver and serves the main purpose of identifying and match the customer to the service provider. Each of the test cards has a unique code allocated to them which identifies the customer to the service provider.

This credit card size access card works as an auxiliary processor to the receiver for billing, security, encryption, decryption, and other purposes. You may be familiar with the test cards, as it enables you to make use of the Pay Per View programming.

The Direct TV test card is linked to the service provider's computer through their land-based telephone line. This access card contains all the necessary information about the type of subscription and is essential for activating the program. With this connection, subscribers' additional billing information, like Pay Per View for sports, movie, etc programming is mirrored to the company's receiver and to the computer network.

Now and then, some advertisements are found touting Direct TV test cards at tempting low prices. They usually promise that their cards can provide their customers access to almost all channels available on the system. It is done so by reprogramming or removing the blocks of copy-written software, software which is used for decrypting all the channels available on the system.

All these advertisers actually sell is pirated test cards which cost them practically nothing. Because these cards access the programs through some other genuine service providers systems, you are actually stealing programming when you use these pirated test cards.

This unavoidable problem of these cards of linking TV set through some unsubscribed service providers system to access to the satellite transmissions provides the service providers the opportunity to command the control over the services of those unsubscribed service consumers.

The service providers can easily get to know through their system that people are using their systems without their permission. The piracy was rampant until a few years ago but the Direct TV has now been able to improve the security of these cards and is cracking down on pirators through the law. The service providers continuously hassle these users in order to force them to subscribe to their service. They hassle these pirated card users so much that they almost make these cards useless. Therefore these users are ultimately forced to subscribe to their service.

These illegal test cards; in some cases; may even be incompatible with the system with which it is used or sometimes may work only for a short period. Hence, the hassle of buying and selling an illegal Direct TV test card is much like gambling, and probably isn't worth your time in the first place.

Direct TV has introduced the following cards so far:

a) P1 Cards: Was used until 1997. It featured the picture of a satellite on it.

b) P2 Cards: Was introduced in 1996 and was in existence until 2002.

c) P3 Cards (Hu cards): Introduced in 1999 and featured the picture of a football player on it in the front so it is also known as football card.

d) P4 Cards: These current generation P4 cards were introduced in 2002 in the market. It has been highly successful over the P3 cards in controlling the piracy. It is also known as access card #4.
